Leaving Ratflat -- Week 42

Well this week was full of random things. I've moved twice and got 2 new companions. I am now in a trio with Sister Li and Sister Perez. President just combined our areas, so the 3 of us will cover 5 wards now.

Also super blessed we don't have to live with rats anymore. One time during comp study we were just chilling discussing something spiritual (probably) and then we just see this rat walk across our floor. Not even run. Just stroll to the other side of the room and then try to fit it's fat body behind the table. Sister Ungos was like "It acts like it own the place." I was grossed out.

But one thing that was super cool this week was we moved back to Kwai Fong and I lived with Sister Sloan! It was like a mini reunion and low key and answer to prayers. It was fun to spend 3 days with her.

Sorry no time. Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for all the prayers they are much appreciated.

Week 41 -- Boiling spoons

Well, this week was a week. In the space of 3 days I lost my wallet and 2 octopus cards...(its how we travel everywhere). But I learned lessons from it. So that's what matters right?

One day this morning I walked out of the shower and my companion gave me a spoon and said: "I boiled it for you so it's clean." I was thankful that she sanatized it from the rats for me.

Also the other day we came home and there was water inside out house....not sure what from, but then I looked closer and there was dead mouse just chilling there. So I picked it up and threw it away. Like an hour later some man came and was seeing if there was water in our house because outside was leaking, and he saw the water where the mouse had been and decided to taste it to try to figure out where it came from. Hopefully, he doesn't get some disease.

Also this week some people came to fix something in our house. This random man just peed with the bathroom door open and then walks out without washing his hands and zips up his pants and continues to work....

Aside from all that had a week where we couldn't Street find so we had to be creative. It was interesting. Also had president and his wife come to our apartment and do comp study with us. Super cool we just got to ask so many questions and get his advice on how to be better.

Hopefully you all are doing well. Thanks for all the prayers. They are much appreciated.

RATS--Week 40

Well this week started off with lots of goodbyes. I only cried like twice when saying goodbye to some of the amazing people we have met. Sister Sloan and I decided we had to have one last companionship "date" so we went to pizza hut and got pizza lol. It was pretty yummy.

On Thursday we woke up and dragged all my stuff through the streets of Hong Kong in the rain to get my new companion. I said goodbye to sister Sloan and hello to Sister Ugnos. She is so cute and from the Philippines!

The first thing she said to me was "just to warn you we have rats." Literally our apartment has rats. If we leave anything out while we leave or overnight the rats eat it. So that was a great welcome lol.

Then on the first day as companions we were coming home, and ran onto the train as the doors were closing thinking she was right there with me....the doors closed and she was still outside hahaha. So I got off at the next stop and waited for her. what a great first day.

Also this week when we were out finding I saw this black guy. I asked my comp where she thought he was from and she was like "africa." So then I asked him and turns out he was from Germany! So said Guten Tag...but he was busy and ran to catch the bus. Maybe the missionaries in Berlin will find him one day.

Oh one more thing that happened was I was just sleeping having probably a great dream....and all of a sudden the fire alarm goes off. It was like 3 am. So I got out of bed and figured out how to turn if off...then the next night it went off again. So I just threw it in the freezer. lol

Also this new area doesn't have a ton of work going on so if anyone has any advice on finding people or thing we could do to strengthen the ward members it would be much appreciated.

Thank you all for your prayers. I hope everyone is doing good, and has a good week. Love you all.

I got proposed to--Week 39

Well this week was fun. First off one day when we were out finding on the pier I saw this guy with literally 8 phones. So I decided to go talk to him....he wasn't very happy. He was just tryna catch some rare pokemon, and told me he was busy. It was pretty funny. I guess it was good that he was at least outside lol.

Also this week I got proposed to. So that was a fun adventure. We were coming back home and we were walking through the MTR station and this old creepy man just came up said called my name and just started talking to me. Then he pulls out this ring that is like 12 sized too big and pulls off the rings on my finger and puts it on my finger. It was seriously so funny. He said a bunch of other stuff and then walked away. It was so funny. Sister Sloan and I just laughed and walked away.

Oh also last P day we went to monkey mountain.....and some monkey decided it wanted to steal my backpack so it tried to grab my backpack while I was wearing it. It scared me so bad, but was so funny.

Also found out that I will be moving this next transfer...I'm going to Kowloon City. So that will a new experience. My new comp is filipina so hopefully can learn some tagalog or some of the language that she speaks.

One more thing that happened this week was we were able to set a baptismal date for the cutest girl. So everyone just pray that her parents will let her have the opportunity to be baptized. They let her come to church, but tell her to be careful because they think all churches brainwash. so we are praying for her and her parents.

Thank you all for your prayers. They are much appreciated. Hope you all have a great week.
