Falling Down Stairs -- Week 51

Well, this week has been good first off we were able to hear and meet President Ballard! It was super good. Something that he said that was super cool was when things are hard, or you have a rough day take a second and think about Gethsemane. Think about the Savior on his knees. I really liked that.

Okay back story. Like the first week I was with sister Sorensen she asked me why we walk so fast. Anyway earlier this week we were walking and eating our yummy bread....I was eating it not paying attention and all of a sudden I was falling down stairs I might have accidentally said a not so good word. (Thanks Dad.) Anyway, my bread went flying...which was the saddest part. I couldn't walk for 3 min. But after was fine. Then my companion decided she was smart and said: "that's why we don't walk fast."

Also this week we were able to teach a lesson with the mission president wife. It was super cool. I love her. And then after President drove us to where we were going so we didn't have to take the bus. We got to ask him so many questions. It's always a good thing.

Oh we also did service this week and we were peeling vegetables...then they gave us celery to peel. I was so confused. Why would you peel celery? But as a missionary, you do what you are told.

Well, hope you all have a good week. Thanks for all your prayers. They are so appreciated. Thanks again

Sweating -- Week 50

Well another week here in Hong Kong. This week has been super hot hahah. Literally last night I was calling some of the sisters in my zone and just sitting there was sweating RIP.

Also yesterday at church we were in Sunday school and the teacher asked us what we like to eat at a buffet. I tried to say chicken wings, but accidentally said chicken feet. Oops. Still don't know how to speak Chinese. I guess at least he could understand what I said.

Also had exchanges. The tagalog work is always so cool. Love finding filipinas. They are so nice hahah.

Thanks for all your prayers. I'm thankful for them all. I know that God is real. He lives and hears us. Remember to thank him.

Ramadan -- Week 49

This week we went to lunch with this cute girl. She was baptized a year ago, but hasn't been back to church for a while. So somehow we got on the subject of makeup. Anyway long story short she told me I'm 20 years old and should wear makeup lol RIP.

Oh also this week in a bus I sat by this man from Indonesia we were having a pleasant conversation, and then religion came up and then he went on about Ramadan for the rest of the 30 min bus ride. Surprisingly I learned a lot even though my Chinese is not very good.

But this week I've realized once again how thankful I am to be here. Thanks for everyone who has influenced my life.

Keep praying for the Chinese. All the prayers are appreciated.

Just remember God lives. He loves us. Christ is our brother, and he will come to us. He will meet us where we are. We are never alone.

Love you all. Hope this week is the best one yet. Also everyone wish my mother a happy birthday (05/13). She's super old now but love her to death. Love you mom...(love your favorite child)

Zone Conference on a Boat -- Week 48

Well this week was good. To start we had zone conference this week. President decided to switch it up, so we all met at a pier and got on a boat. So we had zone conference while one the boat. And then we went on a hike and went to a beach. It was so fun. Also a very different learning experience I learned a lot. It was good.

Also we have turned into a Facebook mission. All I know how to do is look at friend requests...so if any of you former missionaries have ideas of how to better use facebook let me know.

We have seen miracles this week. I know God lives and this is his living gospel. I am so thankful for this opportunity I have to be here. I would not change anything for the world.

Remember to find out who God is to you.

I think of the best things I was reminded of this week during studies is that the Atonement leaves no scars. That we are completely healed through him. Also if you have a loved one who might be lost don't worry because christ knows where they are. If you rely on him it will all work out.

Thanks for the prayers and support. Love you all. Have a good one.
